Public Hearing on Proposed Server Training Ordinance
Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 7:00 P.M.
The City of Columbia Substance Abuse Advisory Commission is recommending the City Council adopt an ordinance which would require all persons serving alcohol to obtain a server certificate. The proposed ordinance would require all persons serving alcohol in the City of Columbia to obtain a server certificate from the Department of Public Health and Human Services. The proposed process would be integrated with the existing food handler's permit process. This public hearing is intended to solicit public comment prior to the submission of the draft ordinance to City Council. A flyer for this event and the draft ordinance can be found online at www.gocolumbiamo.com/Health/
