APAC-Missouri, Inc., the contractor awarded the bid for the Clark Lane Non-Motorized Improvements project along Clark Lane (Route PP) from New Market Blvd. to McKee Street has begun preliminary work at the site.
A small portion of the work on the project will result in a seven day full closure of Clark Lane between Robert Ray Drive and Crump Lane from Monday, July 14, through Monday July 21, 2014 . During the remainder of the project, users should expect temporary lane restrictions on Clark Lane. The entire project is scheduled to be completed, weather permitting, by Friday October 31, 2014.
The project will construct shoulders along Clark Lane for non-motorized use and the existing roadway will be overlayed with a new driving/biking/walking surface.
The project's total cost is $1,146,097 with the funding sources for the project coming from a combination of the one-quarter cent Capital Improvements Sales Tax approved by voters in 2005 and MoDOT monies.
Motorists and non-motorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
We appreciate your patience during this busy roadway improvement season where motorist are seeing higher than normal numbers of closures and restrictions. We are working hard to address our residents number one concern, according to the 2011 citizen survey, roadway improvements and conditions.
