Sometimes it is easier to have an expert help you in person rather than spending hours researching on your own. The free Energy Efficiency Expo is an easy way for people to find ways to save money, be more comfortable and stay safe. The event takes place this Saturday, November 9 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Central Missouri Events Center (formerly the Boone County Fair Grounds). Utility representatives from Columbia Water & Light, Boone Electric Cooperative and Ameren Missouri will join area vendors to share free ways to save, do-it-yourself projects and efficiency investments.
Along with visiting with energy experts, people can learn from interactive presentations.
11:00 am: energy efficiency myth busters
Noon: air sealing & when to add insulation
1:00 pm: Powering the Quality of Life - the future of the energy market
2:00 pm: Gas safety demonstration
The event also features a children's area and scavenger hunt. Free hotdogs and door prizes add to the value of attending the event.
