Columbia is proud to host its fifth annual Project Homeless Connect tomorrow, Thursday, August 1st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Missouri United Methodist Church, 204 South 9th Street in Columbia.
The media is invited to attend the event, which is part of a national effort to aid homeless families and individuals. The "one stop shop" offers assistance, resources and services including: access to shelter/housing, food and clothing donations, legal assistance, employment resources, haircuts, identification cards, medical checkups, substance abuse screening and more. Various businesses and organizations will volunteer their time and resources to help our community's most vulnerable population.
