Description: The project area is in the southwest corner of the Antimi Sports Complex located at Cosmo Park. The project consists of a concrete viewing platform overlooking right field on the Gold Field, a large retaining wall used for additional seating, six trees planted along the top of the retaining wall, and a small memorial area for Otho Smith. The memorial area consists of an additional stone seating area and a bronze plaque mounted on a large boulder. The project was funded by donations raised by Diamond Council.

Project Notes: Otho Smith spent over 20 years of his life coaching youth softball at Antimi Sports Complex and was the head coach of the Snappers, a competitive youth softball team. Otho was an instrumental factor toward the success of the Diamond Council and served on the Diamond Council Board for 15 years. A group of friends, family and fellow coaches raised $10,000 for the memorial project. The viewing platform will be called "Snapper's Landing."

Project Status: Appropriation of donated funds was approved at the December 2, 2013 Council Meeting. Grading and boulder placement work underway.
