Financial Assistance Program

The Financial Assistance Program was created to provide economically disadvantaged individuals access to recreational facilities and programs. Applications are available for Youth Enrichment Services Program (YES) with the primary focus on youth between the ages of 2-17. Financial Assistance for Adults (AFA) ages 18 years of age and over was passed by City Council on February 7, 2005.

Applications are available online or at the downtown Parks & Recreation office located at 7th and Broadway.

In order to qualify, interested participants need to be a resident of the City of Columbia, complete the application and provide documentation of all forms of income.

Youth Scholarships

The City of Columbia has allocated $35,000 for this program for the current fiscal year.

Adult Scholarships

The City of Columbia has allocated $5,000 for this program for its first fiscal year.
