Charges for Services

For over 50 years the
City of Columbia has been committed to providing public health services through its
Health Department.
These services prevent epidemics and the spread of disease, protect against environmental hazards, promote healthy behaviors, prevent injuries and illness, assure the quality and accessibility of health services and monitor the health of the population.

Charges for Services

The Columbia/ Boone County Health Department provides many free services to the general public.In addition, we charge nominal fees for certain other services. No one will be denied services for inability to pay, but all patients will be asked to pay according to the following schedule*:

Pediatric vaccinations provided by state and federal programs (school shots)
$5 per visit administration fee

Pneumovax - pneumonia vaccine for older adults and immune compromised

$30
Free for those over 65

HPV cervical cancer vaccine
for women and girls age 9 thru 26
$125 per dose in 3 dose series

HPV cervical cancer vaccine for girls and women age 9 thru 18, who have no insurance, or are on Medicaid (VFC eligible)
$5.00 per dose

Hepatitis A vaccine - 2 doses required

$25 per dose - $5 to clients under 19 years of age

Hepatitis B vaccine - 3 doses required
$30 per dose - $5 to clients under 19 years of age

Hepatitis A/Hepatitis B Combo. vaccine - ("Twinrix") - 3 doses required - age 19 and older only
$40 per dose

Varicella vaccine - Chickenpox
$5

TD (Tetanus/Diptheria) vaccine- for adults
$5

TdaP (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis for adults) $35

Meningococcal vaccine

MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine
