Luckily, most adults today have never witnessed a case of diphtheria, measles, or other once-common disease now preventable by vaccines. As a result you might wonder why you or your children must receive shots for diseases that do not seem to exist. Because there can be a lot of confusion and misinformation about vaccines, the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services has information available on the immunizations we can provide you. Click here to watch a short (5-minute) video about vaccines.
Besides the immunizations listed above, we also offer tuberculosis testing.
There is a small fee attached to immunizations. However, no one will be turned away for the inability to pay.
You do not need an appointment for routine vaccinations. You can walk-in Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For immigration purposes, please schedule an appointment.
