Sidewalks shall be constructed and installed in compliance with the city street and storm sewer specifications and design standards and all applicable design standards and specifications now or hereafter promulgated by the director of public works or adopted by the council, on all walkways and on both sides of all streets unless otherwise specified in this chapter.
